This was just a perfect match for a budget stay in Encinitas with definitely value for money. The male staff at the front desk could use some human resources training since a simple 'Good Morning' would go a long way. Try to request a room with a garden view for a nice, relaxing atmosphere.

However, the pool space felt a bit cramped during peak hours, making it tough to find a comfortable spot to relax. Additionally, the valet fees at $52 a day seemed quite steep considering the location. A few noise disturbances crept in from nearby roads, while my room exhibited some sound leaking that occasionally interrupted my peace. Lastly, the check-in process was a bit sluggish, which was pretty annoying after a long trip.

great staff

upgraded room

we had a relaxing staycation at alila marea beach resort. the staff were super nice and accommodating. they let us check in early, which we really appreciated. the resort is close to the bluff overlooking the ocean, and we enjoyed the upgraded room. dinner at vaga was delicious, especially the chocolate bombe!

Breakfast at the coffee shop was delightful, and the staff extended a warm welcome, making our early check-in seamless. Our upgraded King Room with Garden View provided a peaceful retreat. Dinnertime at Vaga highlighted fantastic wine pairings with flavorful dishes, finishing with a complimentary Chocolate Bombe that stole the show.

The breakfast crepes were an absolute game-changer, setting the stage for our fabulous day biking up the 101. Plus, dinner at Vaga? Pure fire! The flavors in each dish had us singing, and don't even get me started on that complimentary Chocolate Bombe—so rich and decadent. Not to forget, we got an early check-in which made our stay so much smoother.

One little hiccup? The dude at the front desk could use some people skills—just a simple hello would do! the vibes and food totally made up for it.

Perfect for Couples Looking to Relax

We had breakfast at the coffee shop downstairs, and wow, the staff were so nice and cute that we just had to book a night here! The room was upgraded, and I received some amazing graduation shots in my cap and gown around the fine hotel.

It wasn't cheap, but honestly, that was acceptable for what we got.
